長崎市長殺害事件について
昨日の長崎市長殺害事件は、本当にショッキングな事件だ。
報道を読む限りでは、犯人は二〇〇三年に市道工事現場で自分の乗用車に傷がついたことで市とトラブルになり「市の対応に我慢ができず、頭にきていた。市長を殺し、自分も死んでも構わないぐらいの気持ちでやった」と供述。しかしここ二年間、容疑者と市側はまったく接触がない。
彼は、伊藤市長や市の担当者を刑事告発したり、自身のホームページに主張を掲載し続けたりしていた。ただ市長への面会要求は一度もなく、市の担当者は「軽微な事案」と市長にはトラブルを報告していなかった…のだ。
つまり、これらの事から判断すると、伊藤市長は，見ず知らずの人間に、本人は全く認識してない事のために、撃ち殺されたということになる。こんな不条理な話があってよいのだろうか？
また、更にショッキングなことは、本当に平凡な地方都市で、突然前触れもなく短銃が発射されるという異常性。
「言論を暴力で押さえ込もうとすることは、絶対許されない」という、ピンボケな発言をしていた政治家がいたが、この事件の不気味さは、そういうことではない。報道によれば、この事件後、各地方選の候補者のなかには、防弾チョッキを着たり、ボディガードをつけたりしている人もいるらしい。
もし、言論VS暴力ということであれば、そんなわかりやすい構図はない。薄弱な理由により、普通の街角で、人が一人短銃で撃ち殺されているということに、恐ろしく深い闇を感じるのだ。
