静かで穏やかな一日の始まり
一昨日、朝6時半くらいに、ベランダで煙草をくゆらせながら、考え事をしていたら、目の前の桜に、ウグイスが...
まだ春遠い桜の枝に止まり、静かに遠くをみつめている姿に、心和むものを感じた。
雑事に追われているうちに、一年の12分の１も終り、あっという間に新しい月を迎えている。ウグイスは、新しい季節の訪れを告げると、どこともなく飛び去った。
ウグイスといえば、桜ではなく、梅だがそろそろ開花のニュースも届いている。
・津市の結城神社で、名物のしだれ桜が咲き始める
・長浜市で、梅の珍種「黄金梅」が花をつけ始める
・広島市の縮景園で、紅梅、白梅が少しづつ開花
・前橋公園で、紅梅
・富山市で、梅の花ほころぶ
・敦賀市で、紅梅が八分咲き...など
通常より2～3週間早めの開花状況。夜は、まだ少し冷え込むが、それでも真冬のそれとは、明らかに異なる。息が白く凍りそうな中、固い小さな蕾をほころばせている。はかなげでありながら、毅然としたものを感じさせる梅の花には、幼いときから、特別な思いを感じている。
都会で生活し始めて以来、日々の喧騒のなか、季節の移ろう微妙なサインを感じ取る余裕もなく、時だけが流れている。
ウグイスが飛び去った後も、しばし桜の枝あたりに、残像を探す。煙草の煙は、白く円を描いて、青い空に吸い込まれてゆく。ほころびかけた白梅のイメージが心の中一杯に広がった。
