韓国に負けてしまって、準決勝には行けない可能性が濃厚になってきた。今回のWBCには、何故か、最初から心躍るところがない。
王ジャパンは、本当に今日本で一番強いチームなのか？という疑問。
投球数制限という、変てこなルール。
疑惑の審判。
プロ野球開幕前という、何故か中途半端な開催時期。
松井の欠場。野茂は候補にも入っていない。
う～んとうなってしまう。え～んとないてしまう。じょわ～とつぶやいてみる。
とにかく、何となく間が悪く、何となくすっきりしない感じなのでした。

今回のWBC、なんか煮え切らない。いままで世界一とは言えないまでも、いいところまで行くと想像してたプロ野球ファンの思いは無残に崩壊しました。
例に取ると、「プロレスこそ最強」という言葉を信じていたファンが、「UFC」という限りなくストリートファイトに近いイベントにプロレスラーが出ると、「昨今の」プロレス ストロングスタイルは通用しない（これはキックスタイルにも言えますが）現実に直面したようなものです。（所謂U系は対応していますが）
なんか、UFCの「殴る」「倒す」「極める」「殴る」の単純パターンを力強く行える人が強いのと同じように、「投げる」「打つ」「走る」「捕る」をシンプルに行えるチームのほうが結局は強い気がします。
何が言いたいかというと、野球を進化させるあまり「閉ざされた世界で詳細を詰める進化の袋小路みたいなモードに日本球界が入っていなかったか？と言うこと。国内で「暗黙の了解」でゲームが成り立っていたんではないかと・・・。（サインプレーの正確さとかは日本が上と言う解説者もいますが、ファンダメンタルあっての応用プレーだからね）
歴史を振り返ると、プロレスとプロ野球の歴史ってオーバーラップしていますね。
力道山時代→川上時代
馬場・猪木時代→長島・王
長州・藤波時代→法政３人組
U系時代→野茂・イチロー
さて、アルティメットの現実を突きつけられた日本球界はどう対応するのでしょう。考えてみればアテネと今度で２度目。いい加減にスモールとか何とか言っていないで、真っ向勝負できる布陣を組むべきだと思うが・・・

確かに、プロレスと野球は、怖いくらいオーバーラップしています。日本人がヘビー級では、からっきし勝てない現実もＷＢＣやオリンピックでの敗退とダブります。何故なんだろう。韓国の堂々たる勝ちっぷりをみると、不思議です。（つまり体力、体格、パワーの差異ではない）

といってる間にルチャリブレの国メキシコが頑張っている。野球もプロレスも窮状を救ってくれるのはルチャなのかもしれない。
